For the members, by the members!
Welcome to The World Tour - Travel Adventure Club™. We're a member-driven travel club of fun, globally minded people who enjoy international Sightseeing, Cycling, SCUBA, Safaris, Snow Sports trips and more!
We create and arrange AWESOME trips with memorable agendas, developed around the destinations and the experiences that make each tour special. Depending on the trip, that may include outstanding skiing and snowboarding, sightseeing, local culture, history, scenery, wildlife, food, wine, and time to explore. All our trips are unique and special, created by and for our club! We are not a reseller of package tours and never "cookie cutter".
Our travel club evolved from the European travel club scene in the nineties, where this social style of group travel has been popular for many decades. Since we were founded in Massachusetts around the year 2000, thousands of members have traveled with The World Tour, many returning for multiple trips and bringing family members and friends along the way.
Over the years we have perfected our club, and truly are our own independent entity, with incredible member travel resources. We contract directly with the majority of vendors (Hotels, Air, Transfers, Charters, Guides, etc.), enabling distinctive destinations and thoughtful tour itineraries while providing as much overall value as possible for our members. The majority of our members are from New England and the NY tri-state area.
Our purpose is to create and arrange awesome trips with great club/group rates, opportunities and itineraries. Our primary goal is always to provide as much value as possible, in terms of total cost, organization, enjoyment, and trip agendas for our members.
Each trip is thoughtfully designed to bring out the very best of the destination. The resort area and accommodations are carefully selected for their strategic location, comfort, service, and access to the experiences that make each destination special. The itinerary, transportation, venues, local activities, and daily logistics are carefully coordinated around that base to create a rewarding and well-rounded adventure. Together, these elements make it easier to experience the best of the destination, from outstanding skiing and sightseeing to local culture, food, scenery, and the shared experiences that create lasting memories.
Everyone is welcome; groups, families, and individuals, just bring your desire for fun, and a willingness to meet new people and make new friends. We welcome solo travelers, couples, clubs, groups of friends, and families, and have even enjoyed trips with three generations of the same family traveling together. Our members come from a broad range of backgrounds, occupations, ages, and life experiences, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere much like the European social travel-club scene from which we evolved.
You're welcome to hang with the group or do your own thing. Some members join nearly every activity, while others enjoy a more independent pace. Check-ins and transfers are as a group with our designated club group rep.
Our snow-sports programs reflect that same approach. For more than 20 years, we have brought groups to the Alps and developed extensive experience with the destinations, ski areas, hotels, transportation providers, and local resources that make these trips work well. Our ski and snowboard trips are professionally organized, social, and easy to join, while offering much more than skiing alone. Many members enjoy a mix of skiing, sightseeing, alpine towns, scenic excursions, local culture, dining, and time with new and longtime friends.
Our guides are qualified professionals, normally local to our destination with language and certified guiding skills, maximizing our trip value, quality and enjoyment. All club trips, at a minimum, are escorted by a designated club representative who has direct responsibility and control over reservations. You are assisted by club reps. with airline, transfer and hotel/boat-cabin/tour check-ins, and by professional local guides at our destinations, as on our itineraries.
We offer group air reservations with major carriers, typically ticketed directly by the airlines through group contracts, however on most trips, you are welcome to get your own air, use points, frequent flyer miles, web discounts, whatever works for you. We're all about value for our members!
Reservations & Payments are managed through our online membership and account system, making it easy to review and update your trip details at any time. Payments may be made by check, online by credit card, by wire or bank transfer, through Zelle, or at any Bank of America. Through your membership account, you can review your reservations, update your information, enter passport details, and select any available trip options. We are always here to help and are available by phone seven days a week until 8:00 PM.
Membership dues ($50 for over two decades) are due for members over eighteen, traveling on one or more trips during a calendar year, for that calendar year. Membership is maintained thereafter, for years with no club travel, at the discretion of the club.

The club is governed by a board of directors, all of whom are active members. The directors contribute administrative, accounting and legal services as well as provide financial support. We have a part-time, paid, independent bookkeeper and an accounting firm that maintain our organization's finances.
